Non-Confidential Paper Recycling Program Comes to Sinai Hospital
Beginning tomorrow, June 8, Sinai Hospital will begin separating and recycling non-confidential paper as part of LifeBridge Health’s “Freedom to be Green” initiative. Office and administrative areas throughout Sinai Hospital will receive new, blue collection containers to capture non-confidential paper waste. What is Non-Confidential Paper? Did you know that if everyone composted their food waste at home, it would reduce the amount of waste deposited in landfills by over 30 percent annually? That’s about 71 million tons per year! Composting is easy, it benefits the soil, it prevents pollution and it’s free to do. This week is international compost awareness week, a week that brings positive attention to the possibilities that composting can provide to communities.
