Team LifeBridge – December 2016

Let’s meet this month’s representatives of Team LifeBridge!

Team Bridge Carroll Medical Group

As a primary care office located in south Hampstead, Md., our eight providers and 20 support staff are privileged to meet the needs of patients of all ages. We are happy that, for more than 27 years, multiple generations of families have entrusted their care to us.

Carroll Medical Group is large enough that our patients can easily find a provider whose personality fits well with theirs, but small enough to have a warm, family-oriented atmosphere in which patients feel welcome as soon as they come in the door. Patients shouldn’t be surprised if, from time to time, a provider comes out to escort them personally from the waiting room to the exam room. Our providers are just that excited to see you.

Our practice also prides itself on the quality of care given to our patients by our enthusiastic and compassionate providers and staff. We offer extremely flexible scheduling options to suit your busy schedule. Our providers’ preceptor time is coveted by student practitioners. Mentoring relationships give providers an opportunity to interact with students from many excellent training programs, and to get fresh, cutting-edge perspectives in the exam room; “experience kept sharp,” as we like to say.

Levindale Rehabilitation Services Department

At Levindale, our rehabilitation team of physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists and technicians provides rehabilitation services to patients in our long-term care units, subacute units, CARF-certified high intensity care and behavioral health units, as well as outpatient clinics.

Our team strives to provide an atmosphere of respect, dignity and compassion to help our patients relearn necessary skills and abilities after a lingering illness or a disabling accident. Our goal is to get them back home to their families, and to be as independent as possible.

Pam Hawkins, manager of rehabilitation services, says, “We feel like a family, all focused on a shared vision of getting our patients better. We work as a team, sharing ideas and supporting each other during easy and hard times while demonstrating mutual love and respect. This is by far the best group of people I have ever worked with.”

Whether their patients are residents who live in the nursing home, recovering in the hospital or visitors to their outpatient clinic, the rehabilitation team works to provide high quality health care, sharing their knowledge and expertise for the benefits of their elderly friends and their families.

If the team doesn't know the answer to the question, they know someone who does!

“In the Telecom department, operators are the proverbial front door to the hospital. We’re the first impression of the organization for some of our customers,” says Wendy Toussaint, the department’s supervisor. “Our team embraces the SPIRIT values. We show respect to everyone we come in contact with by phone or in person.
