Thanksgiving came early this year for the patients, employees and volunteers of the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai.

Every year, the Children's Hospital hosts a Pediatric Thanksgiving Luncheon — complete with turkey and all the trimmings — for approximately 200 hungry patrons. The annual event, held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, brings food, festivity and family to the young patients.

The luncheon was provided in part by an anonymous "friend of Sinai" who believes moments like these can help families forget for a moment that they are in a hospital.

This year marked the 34th annual event and also featured a very special guest: Maryland’s First Lady Yumi Hogan was on hand to dish up some delicious food and personally interact with patients, families and volunteers.

Happy Thanksgiving from LifeBridge Health!
