Courtland Gardens employees were pretty in pink on a recent day in October. As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, about 30 employees not only decided to think pink, but to dress in pink. Each wore a pink shirt to show their support for breast cancer survivors and for those who lost their battles with the disease.
Courtland Gardens workers also held a pink bake sale, a pink lemonade sale and a raffle. The three activities together raised more than $150.[flagallery gid=34 name="Pretty in Pink"]
All proceeds were donated to the Red Devils, a non-profit Baltimore-based group that funds services to improve life for people with breast cancer and their loved ones.
