LifeBridge Health Honors Champions of Care

What is a champion? A champion is someone who fights, defends and supports a cause. There’s no denying that doctors, nurses and other health care staff members are everyday champions. They are the people who fight for patients’ lives on a daily basis, often sacrificing their personal time to make sure that patients get the adequate care that they need.

We have many champions at LifeBridge Health. Patients have always wanted a way to express their appreciation to them. That’s why we created the Champions of Care program. It is a unique and meaningful way for patients to give thanks to doctors, nurses and other staff members.

All of the LifeBridge Health Champions of Care receive the following:

  • A custom Champions of Care lapel pin to wear with pride
  • An acknowledgment letter
  • Certificate for the department or group
  • Listing in the Quarterly Champions of Care Honor Roll

So, who are the Champions of Care this year? The following Champions were recognized by the program from February 1 – June 30, 2012.

At Sinai, “Champion All Stars” posters will be installed throughout the campus. They will soon appear at Levindale and Northwest as well. “Champion All Stars” are staff members who have been recognized by a grateful patient three or more times during the fiscal year. Effective July 1, 2012, those designated as “Champion All Stars” will receive a complimentary party for their team. They can choose from coffee and doughnuts, pizza and soda or ice cream.

Congratulations to all of our 2012 Champions of Care!
