LifeBridge Health Partners with Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad to Sponsor 39th Annual Convention

LifeBridge Health and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad (AMHE) are jointly sponsoring the 39^th Annual Convention from July 22 – 29 in Norfolk, Virginia.  The AMHE is a 40 year old membership not-for-profit organization of over 5000 physicians of Haitian ancestry.

This year’s convention theme is “Health Promotion Through Preventive Medicine.” It focuses on the promotion, protection and maintenance of health in the population served by our members, through prevention at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Key convention topic areas will include:

• Communicable diseases
• Cardiovascular diseases
• Injuries
• Cancers
• Mental health
• Electronic medical records
• Medico-legal issues.

Ideally we have the necessity and the obligation to, whenever possible, prolong the journey of life in a meaningful, healthy, sane manner for ourselves and for those we care for at a reduced cost.
