Anyone who drives past the corner of Northern Parkway and Greenspring Avenue will see a unique portrait of purple pride! On Wednesday, January 18, local artist Jim Buckler painted (by hand, no less!) the Ravens logo on the front lawn of Sinai Hospital. Jill Bloom, director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at LifeBridge Health set this all in motion when she contacted Jim; then she asked the Sinai Employee Activities Committee (EAC) for its assistance in organizing the project.
Cathy Quinn, a buyer in the Purchasing Department/Materials Management and the chairperson of the EAC, supervised Jim as he laid the groundwork for the design. Going off of a simple drawing on a piece of paper, Jim painted the entire Ravens logo in a little over an hour and a half. This time spent out in the cold will surely warm the hearts of Ravens fans who are pulling for the team to beat the New England Patriots this weekend.
Hurricane Sandy Donations
Sinai Hospital employees gave back to the hard-bitten Big Apple by loading a shuttle bus with non-perishable food items, baby food and diapers, toiletries, flashlights, trash bags and paper towels (among other necessities) to New Yorkers who have been displaced by Hurricane Sandy.
We extend our heartiest thanks to Jim, the LifeBridge Health marketing department and the Sinai EAC. Go Ravens!
