LifeBridge Health Doctors Featured in Baltimore Magazine’s 2011 “Top Docs” Issue

Baltimore magazine has released its annual compilation of medical luminaries who are brightening the futures of patients all across Charm City. Inclusion in the magazine’s “Top Docs” feature is especially prestigious since the list is peer-selected and peer-reviewed.

LifeBridge Health physicians are well-represented on the 2011 list. Dr. W. Peter Geis, chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Northwest Hospital, even graced this year’s cover.

Dr. Geis is one of the founders of laparoscopic surgery in the United States and he remains one of the leading minimally invasive surgeons in the nation. He is also currently the director of the Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery, which is designed as an intense two-year educational and clinical experience program for the fully trained surgeon who has completed at least a five-year residency program in surgery. Former fellows have gone on to become directors of minimally invasive surgery at university hospitals or in residency program hospitals; they’ve also become directors of bariatric surgery programs.

Below you can see all of the LifeBridge Health Top Docs of 2011:

We know that all of our docs are truly “Top Docs,” and we thank them for the hard work that keeps our communities healthy. We’d also like to extend sincere congratulations to the many doctors who were celebrated in print this year.

-Laura Bogart

  • Thank you, to the big-hearted "Get in the Game" campaign chairs at #NorthwestHospital. These members, Ericka Gray-Wylie, David Forbes, and Charles Williamson (not pictured), work hard to develop fun activities to not only increase participation in the employee giving campaign and raise funds, but to boost employee morale. #TeamLifeBridge

  • ‪#‎TBT Did you know that there’s a mini-museum inside ‪#‎SinaiHospital? Located behind the hospital’s cafeteria, the “Sinai Pride” #exhibit takes you back in time displaying everything from medical instruments to historic photos. Do you have a Sinai story? We’d love to hear it!

  • The "Get in the Game" festivities continue as part of our #LifeBridgeHealth annual employee giving campaign. At #NorthwestHospital, staff members competed in a #Zumba Dance Off, while #CarrollHospital associates tested their #trivia knowledge, and the folks at #Levindale… well they just cooled off and enjoyed some delicious #icecream. Last year, our employees raised $202,000 to help local Maryland charities. Go #TeamLifeBridge!

  • Meet the members of #CarrollHospital’s Get in the Game committee. Over the last five months, this team has been working hard to plan for this year's annual giving campaign. The team’s goal: to raise $30,000 by Friday, August 12 to support the hospital’s programs and services. A big thank you to our dedicated staff for all that you do. #TeamLifeBridge
