LifeBridge Health Doctors Featured in Baltimore Magazine’s 2011 “Top Docs” Issue

Baltimore magazine has released its annual compilation of medical luminaries who are brightening the futures of patients all across Charm City. Inclusion in the magazine’s “Top Docs” feature is especially prestigious since the list is peer-selected and peer-reviewed.

LifeBridge Health physicians are well-represented on the 2011 list. Dr. W. Peter Geis, chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Northwest Hospital, even graced this year’s cover.

Dr. Geis is one of the founders of laparoscopic surgery in the United States and he remains one of the leading minimally invasive surgeons in the nation. He is also currently the director of the Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery, which is designed as an intense two-year educational and clinical experience program for the fully trained surgeon who has completed at least a five-year residency program in surgery. Former fellows have gone on to become directors of minimally invasive surgery at university hospitals or in residency program hospitals; they’ve also become directors of bariatric surgery programs.

Below you can see all of the LifeBridge Health Top Docs of 2011:

We know that all of our docs are truly “Top Docs,” and we thank them for the hard work that keeps our communities healthy. We’d also like to extend sincere congratulations to the many doctors who were celebrated in print this year.
